Does Your Spiritual Practice Bring You a Better More Peaceful Life?
We all have diverse interpretations of spirituality.

I don’t consider myself a religious person. I was raised a Catholic, and those teachings influence my life today, yet I do not practice the religion.
I believe in God, a Higher Power, a Being greater than me. Thus, I consider myself a spiritual person.
Nature and gratitude are my catalysts
I feel spirituality most profoundly when expressing gratitude to my God or when I’m in nature.
I often travel between California and Arizona.
When in Arizona, I hike the mountain trails with my Golden Retriever, Merlin. I appreciate the distant mountains on the horizon and the various cacti and scurrying animals on our trek. This is the time I recognize, without a doubt, there is a power greater than humans.
My most intense feelings of spirit arise when walking along San Francisco Bay in California. Yes, Mother Nature, aka God, is in action when the fog sweeps over the hills and settles on the water — exquisite.
These sites arouse a strong sense of gratitude for all I have been granted.
