We’re under a lot of stress.

Finally, we thought the coronavirus pandemic was almost behind us. Now a new strain — a variant of a variant — known as the Omicron Subvariant BA.2 is wending its way from Europe to the states. Will it ever end?

Our complaints about the situation abound. And rightly so.

Why are some people still afraid of the vaccine? Isn’t Covid scarier than a shot?

Tensions are spiking as well. It seems we are on the brink of war. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is devastating, and we feel helpless.

Our economy is in the gutter. Gas prices are rising almost daily. People are anxious about the high price of groceries.

Some are cutting coupons. Others are seeking the best deals online for their necessities.

It’s useless to complain about these issues. Yet, somehow it feels as though ranting helps release the stress. And perhaps it does to some extent.

Though it’s a lack of action — complaining may stimulate us to make changes.

Still, we cannot pull money out of thin air to pay for our needs.
