Thank you, T.J. for this heart-wrenching take on addiction and Matthew. I concur. It breaks my heart. My dear son passed eight years ago --cardiac arrest--he was 36. Had ulcerative colitis, underwent all the surgeries to fix him but alcohol and oxycodone Rx got him in the end. They need to want freedom from addiction more than anything or it's a no deal. Good luck to you with your sobriety. I have five years AF and doing well.
