Wow! Shocking. Thank you for sharing this, Dave. It is so important that people see another side to a "revered" organization like AA. I have friends who would still be drinking today if it weren't for AA. So, yes, there is plenty of good there. Yet there is no excuse for the dangerous advice these members freely gave online. I quit on my own without AA though I recently attended a few meetings to meet women who understand my situation. I'll be 5 years sober next month. Thanks for opening my eyes and those of others.
